A four-member delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), led by Stefan Schennach (Austria, SOC), will travel to Poland from 26 to 29 June to assess the 28 June Presidential election.

The delegation is due to meet the head of the National Election Committee, as well as members of the Special Election Assessment Mission sent by the OSCE’s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), before observing voting on Sunday 28 June.

The delegation is composed of:

- Stefan Schennach (Austria, SOC), head of delegation

- Yuliya Lovochkina (Ukraine, SOC)

- Gerardo Giovagnoli (San Marino, SOC)

- Reinhold Lopatka (Austria, EPP/CD)

A member of the Venice Commission – the Council of Europe's group of independent legal experts – will provide legal support during the visit.

PACE systematically assesses elections in all states subject to the Assembly’s full monitoring procedure.

The delegation will issue a statement at the end of the visit.
