A delegation of the Chamber of Councillors of the Parliament of Morocco, led by its Secretary General EL Assad Zerouali and composed of senior officials, is to take part in an information seminar on the work of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg on 3 and 4 October 2022. The Parliament of Morocco has held “Partner for Democracy” status with PACE since 2011.
The seminar, organised by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), aims to brief Moroccan partners fully on the Council of Europe, its fields of activity, its standards and its priorities, as well as its role in the European context and at the international level, with a particular focus on the work of the Assembly. It thus aims to further strengthen co-operation between the Parliament of Morocco and PACE.
This seminar is part of the joint programme “Support to the National Mechanism for the Prevention of Torture and the Development of the Role of Parliament in the Consolidation of Democracy in Morocco 2020-2023”, funded by the European Union and implemented by the Council of Europe.
