PACE President Theodoros Rousopoulos participated this week in the Ukraine Recovery 2024 Conference, organised under the theme: “United for defence, united for recovery, stronger together”.
The conference followed an annual series of high-level political events dedicated to the rapid recovery and long-term reconstruction of Ukraine since the start of Russia's large-scale war of aggression against Ukraine.
Following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's speech to the Bundestag, Theodoros Rousopoulos met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, with whom he held an exchange about the participation of the German delegation to the PACE and other issues of common interest.
During his visit to the German capital, the PACE President also met with Bärbel Bas, Speaker of the Bundestag, and held an exchange of views on the consequences of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine and current developments in the field of artificial intelligence.
He also had an exchange of views with Michael Roth, Chairman of the Bundestag Foreign Affairs Committee, as well as with members of various Bundestag committees and the German delegation to PACE.
