The Assembly, having regard to its Recommendation 1174 (1992), instructs its Political Affairs Committee and its Committee on Relations with European Non-Member Countries to establish contacts as soon as possible with the parliaments of the republics concerned and to offer the good offices of the Parliamentary Assembly in the process of democratisation.
