1. The Assembly,
2. Recalling its earlier Recommendations regarding the organisation of parliamentary debates on OECD affairs (Recommendations 245 of 29th April 1960, 273 of 3rd March 1961 and 336 of 25th September 1962),
3. Decides to appoint from among its members a delegation empowered
a to approach the Committee of Ministers and the Governments of member States in order to persuade these Governments to enter into negotiations with the United States and Canadian Governments with a view to carrying into effect the arrangements proposed by the Assembly;
b to establish later, if necessary, direct contacts with the American Congress and the Canadian Parliament with a view to contributing to the conclusion of an agreement and to its practical application.
