Referring to Recommendation 1379 (1998) regarding basic education in science and technology, the Assembly invites its Committee on Science and Technology, in the light of the importance of this question, to prepare a report every three years on the efforts being undertaken in the member states to promote science and technology literacy and to submit this report to the Assembly.
