Suppression of Entry Visa Formalities in respect of Members of the Council of Europe.1Note
The Assembly,
Having regard to Article 1 of the Statute of the Council of Europe;
Having regard to its Recommendation of 8th September, 1949 (Doc. 112, 1949) with regard to the establishment of a European Passport;
Having regard to the Recommendation of 3rd April, 1950 of the Council of the O. E. E. C. to the Governments of Member States of the O. E. E. C. with regard to the suppression of entry visa formalities in respect of nationals of Member States in possession of valid passports;
Having regard to the offer made by the Government of the German Federal Republic to the Governments of Member States of the Council of Europe and of the 0. E. E. C. with a view to the suppression of entry visa formalities in respect of nationals of Member States in possession of valid passports when travelling between their countries and the German Federal Republic;
Calls on Representatives to take the appropriate steps with a view to the acceptance in their countries of the offer made by the German Federal Republic.
