Ms Natalya Sharina, Director of the Library of Ukrainian Literature in Moscow, has been under house arrest since October 2015 after being accused of inciting hatred or animosity towards a social group by allegedly holding banned books in the Library. Natalya was subsequently arrested, and then placed under house arrest.
With regard to Ms Sharina’s detention,
Mr M.A. Jensen,
To ask the Committee of Ministers,
Could the Committee of Ministers explain if the detention is in line with the Russian Federation’s obligations vis-a-vis the Council of Europe and the European Convention on Human Rights?
