Dear Speaker,
I was deeply shocked to learn of the bombing which took place yesterday in Vladikavkaz, in which at least 15 people died and many more were injured.
As you know, the Parliamentary Assembly has consistently condemned terrorism and all forms of violence. Therefore, I express my firmest condemnation of this heinous act and of all the other terrorist attacks which have recently taken place in the North Caucasus region of the .
As the Assembly recently stated in its Resolution on the , there can be no justification whatsoever for having recourse to acts of indiscriminate violence against the civil population; these are dastardly and abhorrent deeds.
I would like to extend my most heartfelt condolences to the authorities and the people of the , in particular the families of those who were killed yesterday in .
Please convey to them the deepest sympathy of our Assembly.
