Non-sexist teaching, gender balance among teachers and state funding of schools, are among concrete measures needed to promote better education and training for girls, according to PACE President Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. Addressing an IPU meeting in New York on the role of parliaments in promoting access and participation of women and girls to education, training, science and technology, the President said a radical “change in mentalities” was also needed.
