Strasbourg, 26.04.2011 – Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), will make an official visit to Croatia on 28-29 April 2011.
During his visit, he is due to meet the President of the Republic Ivo Josipović, the Speaker of Parliament Luka Bebić, the Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor, as well as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Gordan Jandroković.
Talks are also scheduled with, in particular, the Deputy Speaker of Parliament and Chairman of the Committee on European Integration, Neven Mimica, with the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee and head of the Croatian delegation to PACE, Frano Matušić, as well as with the Chairperson of the National Committee for monitoring the accession negotiations with the EU, Vesna Pusić, and with the Chairman of the parliamentary Committee on human and national minority rights, Furio Radin.
Mr Çavuşoğlu will also give a lecture at the Zagreb Faculty of Political Science on the “Challenges facing Europe and the role of the Council of Europe”.
