1. When considering the question put by
the distinguished Parliamentarian, the Committee of Ministers was
informed by the Greek delegation that while new measures have been
adopted in order to protect certain vulnerable groups such as, among
others, unemployed persons and persons with disabilities, no new legislation
has recently been adopted “exacerbating the measures which were
found to be a violation of the European Social Charter”.
2. The Committee of Ministers would recall its reply to Mr Hunko’s
question referred to by the Honourable Parliamentarian, dated 10
April, and the fact that it falls primarily to the European Committee
of Social Rights to examine any alleged violation of the European
Social Charter and not the Committee of Ministers.
