1. Following
the examination of credentials of new representatives and substitutes
appointed during the 1st part of the
2009 session of the Assembly, credentials certified by the competent
authorities of five member states have been transmitted to the President
of the Assembly for validation by the Standing Committee acting on
behalf of the Assembly.
2. The Standing Committee, acting on behalf of the Assembly,
is called upon to express its decision on the validation of the
credentials of the representatives and substitutes whose names are
given below.
3. Belgium has appointed
one new substitute to replace Mr Jan Jambon who has resigned.
4. Latvia has appointed
one new substitute to fill the vacant seat.
5. The Netherlands have
appointed one new substitute to replace Mr H.P.J. Van Gerven who
has resigned.
6. Serbia has appointed
a new substitute to replace Ms Donka Banović who has resigned, as
well as a new substitute and two new representatives to fill the
three vacant seats; M. Miloš Jevtić becomes substitute.
7. Spain has appointed
one new substitute to replace Mr José Carracao Gutiérrez who has
resigned.
8. In the case of objection or justified contestation, the contested
credentials shall be referred without debate to the appropriate
committee which shall report back to the Assembly, in accordance
with Rules 7 and 8 of the Rules of Procedure.
