The Representatives to the Consultative Assembly of the Council of Europe regard it as their duty to ensure that the decisions taken by the Assembly are definitely confirmed in their respective countries, in order thus to expedite the establishment of common rules and institutions for the peoples of Europe; and they undertake to present and to defend before their respective national Parliaments all Recommendations and Resolutions which have been adopted by a two-thirds majority of the Consultative Assembly.
