Preparation of a report on the situation of refugees

The Assembly,

Having regard to the number of refugees still remaining in camps in Europe ;

Having regard to the proposals it has made, itself, and to the work done by other international organisations for assistance to refugees ;

Considering it desirable to make a new effort to settle the refugee problem in Europe,

Instructs its Social Committee to present to it a short report, prepared in collaboration with the other international organisations concerned, which will show succinctly :

1 How many refugees are still remaining in camps in Europe and where they are situated ;

2 What is being done to find permanent homes and, where possible, permanent employment for them ; and

3 What further action, including the granting off unds, is necessary in order to settle the refugee problem in Europe.
