The Assembly,

1. Having noted the report of the Social Committee, Doc. 2119, on the Symposium of Parliamentarians specialists in Public Health held in Berlin from 10th to 13th May 1966, in pursuance of Assembly Resolution 305 (1966) ;

2. Gratified at the success of the Symposium ;

3. Having regard to the hope for further meetings of the Symposium expressed by the participants in the attached Resolution,

4. Instructs the Social Committee to study in due course arrangements for a second Symposium on the same lines to discuss one or two questions of current interest in the public health sphere in Europe.

The Symposium :

Thanks the Consultative Assembly for its decision to convene in Berlin, from 10th to 13th May 1966, a "Symposium of Parliamentarians specialists in Public Health" ;

Hopes that other meetings will be convened to examine technical problems involving political decisions, meetings which will provide an opportunity for further fruitful discussion between parliamentarians and experts.
