This Resolution was adopted by the Assembly at its thirty-fourth Sitting, 17th January, 1953 (See Doc. 105, Report of the Committee on General Affairs)

The Assembly,

Recalling that the Committee of Ministers has accepted that It is desirable that all European Assemblies, whether of the Fifteen or of the Six countries, should be held in the same building;

Considering that the experience of the month of January, 1953 has shown that the office accommodation provided by tbe present buildings of tbe Consultative Assembly is inadequate;

Realising that serious political conséquences may result, unless this state of affairs is remedied immediately;

Recommends to the Committee of Ministers that, at its meeting of 12th February, 1953 authorisation be given for the construction of a new wing to be added to the present buildings of the Consultative Assembly, so that it may be ready for use on 1st August, 1953.
