The Assembly,
Having considered the Sixth Report on the activities of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner, dated 1st October 1957 ;
Noting the progress achieved by the Office of the High Commissioner in solving the Hungarian refugee problem and implementing the programme of the United Nations Refugee Fund ;
Considering that further offers of resettlement will be required in order completely to solve the Hungarian refugee problem, as also that further increased financial contributions as well as offers of resettlement will be needed to achieve permanent solutions for all other refugees within the mandate of the High Commissioner who are still living in camps ;
Further noting with concern that insufficient funds are available to the Office of the High Commissioner and the Intergovernmental Committee for European Migration for the care and movement of the increasing number of refugees of European origin who are now able to leave China,
