1. The Assembly,
2. Expressing its firm conviction that, in spite of the failure of the Brussels Conference, member Governments should maintain the objective of overall European economic integration as an essential policy goal ;
3. Considering that the forthcoming GATT negotiations and the US Trade Expansion Act present an opportunity to achieve a general expansion of world trade, particularly by lowering tariffs ;
4. Considering that it would be fruitful to hold a preparatory meeting within the framework of OECD to pave the way for concluding world-wide commodity agreements in the near future ;
5. Considering it to be desirable that the European Economic Community and other member countries of the OECD use that Organisation and other existing international organisations to co-ordinate their development aid efforts ;
