a take all appropriate action to ensure that as many as possible International Labour Conventions are ratified and fully implemented;
b examine, with a view to subsequent inclusion in the Intergovernmental Work Programme of the Council of Europe, a number of studies to be carried out in cooperation with ILO, notably on the industrial and social adjustment to rapid technical change, participation in industry, the adoption of measures for the protection of the safety and health of workers, and vocational training of young workers;
c urge member governments to initiate on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of ILO an information campaign on a European scale, designed to instruct public opinion on the role and significance of ILO in the achievement of social progress and the protection of human rights and to strengthen co-operation with ILO in order to increase support for the developing countries in the fields of vocational training, improvement of conditions of work and labour relations;
d take appropriate measures to ensure better possibilities for workers to use their increasing leisure time for the attendance at courses for continued education, notably in the field of occupational training, and to facilitate their participation in social and recreational activities;
e promote a better understanding of all concerned of the economic, social and technical implication of the introduction of technical changes in industry and services.
