The Assembly,

1. Having taken note of the report of its Committee on Agriculture on the conservation of the living resources of the seas (Doc. 3904) ;

2. Having regard to Recommendation 798 (1977), and the considerations expressed therein,

3. Resolves to organise, in the second half of 1977, a colloquy with representatives of science, the fishing industry, governments and competent international organisations, to review the situation as regards the conservation of the living resources in the North-East Atlantic and North Sea, and with a view to proposing the drafting of a multilateral convention on the conservation of the living resources of the seas.
