In the draft resolution, paragraph 8.10, after the words "the European Convention on Human Rights", insert the following words:

"and relevant jurisprudence by the ECHR since 1949".

Explanatory note

The paragraph would suggest to limit ourselves to the legal situation of the year 1949, when the European Convention on Human Rights was adopted. A large body of legislation on conscientious objection and other relevant issues has been passed by ECHR and should be reflected in the Resolution.
