In the draft resolution, paragraph 6, replace the words ", which are so often the cause of present-day terrorism" with the following words:

"for terrorist purposes".

Explanatory note

Suggesting that "religious beliefs are so often the cause of present day terrorism" runs contrary to the purposes of this report. Instead of religious beliefs, the use of religion for terrorist purposes lies at the heart of violence against religious communities.
