The Committee of Ministers agrees with the Honourable Parliamentarian about the importance of the two treaties referred to in his question. It would like to underline that it holds regular exchanges of views with the respective Presidents of the Advisory Committee of the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities and the Committee of Experts of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages. These exchanges provide a forum for discussing the question of future ratifications of these treaties and related issues, including any legal or other obstacles that may prevent States from signing or ratifying the instruments.
