In the draft resolution, paragraph 3.6, after the words "religious norms", insert the following words:

"and a general brutalisation of society as a result of prolonged conflict and repression".

Explanatory note

It should be underlined that the negative development with regards to the situation of women and girls is not only due to religious norms, but also a consequence of prolonged conflict and repression.
