the Bureau of 28 April 2023 requiring ratification by the Assembly
1.1 References and
transmissions to committees
The Bureau considered and approved the following references:
- Global rules to eliminate all
forms of religious oppression, Doc. 15700, Motion for a resolution: reference to the Committee

in the Republic of Moldova: reference to the Political Affairs and

- Bureau decision, Transmission by the Committee of Ministers
for consultation on the application for membership set out in the
letter of 12 May 2022 addressed to the Secretary General of the
Council of Europe (document
DD(2022)200), in line with Statutory Resolution (51) 30: reference
to the Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy for report, for the preparation
of the statutory Opinion to the Committee of Ministers on the application
for membership, and to the Committee on Legal Affairs and Human
Rights and the Committee on Equality and Non-Discrimination for opinion.
1.2 Issues raised
by committees
1.2.1 Committee on
Social Affairs, Health and Sustainable Development
The Bureau decided to set up an ad hoc committee of the Bureau
to organise a Side Event at the High-Level Political Forum, at the
United Nations in New-York, on 18 July 2023.
1.2.2 Committee on
Equality and Non-Discrimination
The Bureau approved the Rules for the Vigdís Prize for Women’s
Empowerment, which will replace the Parliamentary Assembly’s Gender
Equality Prize, established pursuant to its Resolution 1593 (2007) (Appendix 1).
1.3 Composition of
the Monitoring Committee and of the Committee on Rules of Procedure, Immunities
and Institutional Affairs
1.3.1 Monitoring Committee
The Bureau, on the basis of a proposal by the Group ALDE,
nominated Ms Sabina ĆUDIĆ (Bosnia and Herzegovina) as a member.
1.3.2 Committee on
Rules of Procedure, Immunities and Institutional Affairs
The Bureau, on the basis of a proposal by the EPP/CD Group,
nominated Ms Catia POLIDORI (Italy) as a member.
The Assembly is invited to ratify
these Bureau decisions.
