This Assembly, considering the need to prevent the further reduction in the stocks of fish in the North Sea and adjacent waters upon which the fisheries of many nations depend, and of safeguarding arid improving the food supplies of Europe, urges the governments of those countries which have signed, but not ratified, the Convention drawn up by the International Over-fishing Conference held in London in 1946 to take immediate steps to ratify the Convention and to give effect to its provisions.
