The Assembly,

1. Considering that by Resolution 429 (1970) it ordered its Legal Affairs Committee to organise a symposium on the exploration and exploitation of the seabed and the ocean floor and the sub-soil thereof in the autumn of 1970 ;

2. Understanding that doubts have arisen as to whether the autumn of 1970 is the most suitable time for this Symposium ;

3. Instructs its Legal Affairs Committee to reconsider the date for the Symposium, and

4. Authorises its Legal Affairs Committee to organise the holding of the Symposium at whatever date it considers to be appropriate.
