1. Having taken note of the report of the Political Affairs Committee on the role of the Council of Europe in the near future (Doc. 2746) and of its conclusions,
2. Instructs :
a all committees concerned to reconsider the resolutions, orders and references mentioned in its Order No. 291, taking into account the conclusions of the report of the Political Affairs Committee set out in section C of that report ;
b all its committees, when adopting and implementing their future programme of work, to bear in mind the observations made in section B of the report of the Political Affairs Committee ;
c the Bureau to consider, in consultation with the Special Committee on the Intergovernmental Work Programme, in particular in the light of the reply which the Committee of Ministers has given to Opinion No. 51 on the Intergovernmental Work Programme of the Council of Europe, what action ought to be taken in pursuance of the motion for a resolution on a better organisation of the Assembly's work (Doc. 2470).
