(1957)
Author(s):
Parliamentary Assembly
Origin
(see Doc. 745, Report of the Social Committee). This Resolution was adopted by the Assembly at its 27th Sitting, on 29th October 1957
The Assembly,
Having studied the Fifth Report on the work of the World Health Organisation,
1. Warmly congratulates the WHO Regional Office for Europe, the seat of which was transferred this year from Geneva to Copenhagen, on its numerous achievements in Europe during the past year ;
2. Finds this work of particular interest, inasmuch as the Assembly has expressed its desire for the development of all activities designed to improve the health of the peoples of Europe ;
3. Notes in this connection with great satisfaction that the Medical Fellowship Programme of the Council of Europe is regarded by W.H.O. as a valuable addition to the activities of the Regional Office for Europe in this field, and that, thanks to the excellent spirit of cooperation between the Secretariats of the two organisations, there has been no duplication of activity.
