Assembly Debate on 27th January 1967 (24th Sitting) (see Doc. 2138, report of the Committee on Rules of Procedure). Text adopted by the Assembly on 27th January 1967 (24th Sitting).
The Assembly,
1. Having regard to Rule 30 of the Rules of Procedure, inparticular paragraph 2 reading : "Amendments shall relate directly to the text which it is sought to alter. The President shall decide whether they are in order. Amendments should apply only to the substantive text ; they must be signed by their author and, unless proposed in the course of a debate, laid on the Table so as to leave sufficient time for them to be printed and distributed before they are discussed".
2. Resolves to leave out in this paragraph the words "unless proposed in the course of a debate" and insert the words "unless the President decides otherwise" instead thereof.
