In the draft resolution, at the end of paragraph 15, add the following words:
“Referring to the recent 14 month prison sentence imposed on Alessandro Sallusti in Italy, the Assembly asks the Venice Commission to prepare an opinion on whether the Italian laws on defamation are in line with Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights.”
