The Committee of Ministers has discussed the events in March 2017 connected to the attempts by Turkish ministers to campaign in the Netherlands in relation to the referendum on the Turkish Constitution held on 16 April 2017. During the discussion, both member States informed the Committee of their positions, which are publicly known. The Netherlands and Turkey were encouraged to continue with their dialogue to de-escalate tensions and re-establish the friendly and co-operative relations they have enjoyed for many years.
