Dear colleagues, Since the fall of the so-called "caliphate", this discussion on the fate of those children has been on the forefront of Belgian politics. My country, like so many others, has been torn over what to do with the families of foreign jihadists. As we speak, a penalty payment amounting to 200 000 euros is imposed upon our government to bring back some of these children, so the pressure is on.
