24/06/2026 | 18:13:32 Dear colleagues, Thank you for your discussion. Thank you for your support for our work and for the report. While we are discussing here today, tonight and during our debate, we have already received the response from the Georgian authorities. And the response is that this Report does not reflect the developments in Georgia over the past year and that they would be not returning to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). It's an unfortunate message, but at the same time a... 24/06/2026 | 17:22:12 Dear colleagues, Unfortunately our reporting on Georgia continues at the same pace. One of the ways to analyse (or perhaps the key way to analyse) any progress, any country's progress and the functioning of its democratic institutions, in our institution, is to analyse its cooperation with the key bodies of this organisation: namely the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), then the Venice Commission, then the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) and then of course the... 23/06/2026 | 17:07:03 On 25 May 1995, at 8:55 p.m., Mr Novak ĐUKIĆ made a direct order for a missile to be launched on Tuzla city centre, killing 71 young people. Subsequently he fled to Serbia, where he is still free. And not only free, but receiving direct support from the Serbian regime. And not... 22/04/2026 | 17:13:15 Okay, can you hear me now? The year is 2026. We find ourselves in the chamber of what is supposed to be the world's leading human rights organisation, defending human rights not only just in its member states, but around the world and defending democracy. It is worth reminding ourselves this, because the topic we are discussing is not just the death penalty and the abolishment of the death penalty, because I hope we all understand here in this room – although it's increasingly questionable... 02/10/2025 | 16:47:34 Dear colleagues, Thank you for your support and valuable contributions. In a short response to my dear colleagues from the European Conservatives, Patriots & Affiliates Group, I fully agree. We come from a variety of political cultures and ideologies, and we are here to find joint solutions, peaceful solutions through a democratic process. But I re-emphasise, my dear colleague and I here speak, and as chosen and elected by the Committee on the Honouring of Obligations and Commitments by...
