Strasbourg, 08.03.2013 – On Friday 15 March, the Committee on Social Affairs, Health and Sustainable Development of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will be holding a hearing on “Energy diversification as a fundamental contribution to sustainable development” at the Bundestag in Berlin.
This hearing, in which representatives of the International Energy Agency (IEA) and German experts will take part, will consider how the diversification of energy sources, energy technologies and different types of energy use might foster sustainable development and the green economy. It will be held as part of the preparation of the report by Doris Barnett (Germany, SOC) on this issue.

The hearing, which is open to the press, will take place on Friday 15 March from 2.30 pm to 5 pm at the Bundestag in Berlin (Platz der Republik 1, Room “3 S 001” SPD-Fraktionssaal, South Entrance: Reichstagsgebäude Süd –Scheidemannstraße)
