In a declaration adopted unanimously today, the Committee on Migration called for a coordinated humanitarian response by member States to evacuate persons who fled the armed conflict in Ukraine from neighbouring countries “by resettlement and relocation, and without discrimination”.
The declaration underlines that, according to UNHCR, over 3.5 million persons fled from Ukraine in less than four weeks and estimates anticipate that this number could rise to 10 million over the coming weeks.
