The Council of Europe Flag of honour will be awarded to the German municipality of Gotha (Thüringen) on 26 September. Marlene Rupprecht, will present this distinction which recognizes European efforts of this city.

The town of Borken, in the German Land of Hessen, is to be awarded the Council of Europe Plaque of Honour on 3 October. Marlene Rupprecht will hand over the prize.
