2. Considers that paragraph 7 of the resolution which states that "in accordance with Rule 43, paragraph 3 (of the Assembly's Rules of Procedure), ad hoc committees shall be set up only in exceptional circumstances to deal with specific situations", is in contradiction with paragraph 22 of the explanatory memorandum of the report which states that "It should be recalled that an ad hoc committee of the Bureau on equality of the sexes already exists. The ad hoc committee on the Assembly's committee structures was in favour of maintaining the present situation";
3. Instructs its Committee on Rules of Procedure to resume consideration of the proposal to set up a committee on equality of the sexes and to report to it during 1997.
