1. On the occasion
of the examination of Written Question No. 715, the Ukrainian delegation
provided the Committee of Ministers with detailed information on
the allocation mechanism of welfare benefits to internally displaced
persons in Ukraine. It also indicated that the Ukrainian Government,
aware of the difficulties faced by some beneficiaries to collect
their allowances due to the control system in place, had taken action
in order to resolve these difficulties.
2. Another delegation indicated that the issue raised by Mr Jensen
and, more generally, the matter of suspension of allowances to displaced
persons, had already been raised by the Commissioner for Human Rights,
Mr Muižnieks, as well as other international bodies.
