The Assembly,
Having noted the opinion expressed by the Committee of Ministers with regard to Resolution 136 on the position of national minorities in Europe;
Considering that Resolution 136 left the question open as to whether action for the protection of national minorities should be taken in the Council of Europe rather than in the United Nations;
Considering that the decision to be taken on this question should be based on the information supplied by Member Governments,
Confirms Resolution 136 of 29th October 1957;
Requests the President of the Assembly to take the necessary steps for its implementation.
