The Assembly,
Having regard to the European Convention of Human Rights;
Having regard to the first election of the judges of the European Court of Human Rights held during the third part of the Tenth Session of the Assembly;
Considering that, in accordance with Article 39 of the Convention, the procedure to be followed to complete the European Court of Human Rights in the event of the admission of new Members of the Council of Europe and in filling casual vacancies shall be the same as the procedure laid down for the first election of the members of the Court, but only " as far as applicable " ;
Considering that in this connection certain articles of the Convention require further examination,
Instructs the Legal Committee to study this problem and any other point which may arise in connection with it, and to report thereon to the Assembly in due course.
