Examination of credentials of Representatives and Substitutes

1. In accordance with Rule 6,
paragraphs 1 and 4, of the Rules of Procedure and following the
examination of credentials of new representatives and substitutes
appointed during the 4th part of the
2009 session of the Assembly, credentials certified by the competent
authorities of four member states have been transmitted in due form
to the President of the Assembly for validation by the Standing
Committee acting on behalf of the Assembly.
2. The Standing Committee, acting on behalf of the Assembly,
is called upon to express its decision on the validation of the
credentials of the representatives and substitutes whose names are
given below.
3. Belgium has appointed
one new representative and two new substitutes to replace Mr Luc Van den Brande, Mr André
Flahaut and Mrs Miet Smet who have resigned, and one substitute
has been appointed as a representative.
4. Denmark has appointed
one new representative to replace Mr Morten Messerschmidt, who has resigned.
5. Following parliamentary elections, Norway has
appointed a new delegation.
6. “The former Yugoslav Republic of
Macedonia” has appointed one new representative to replace Mr Oliver
Sambevski, who has resigned.
7. In the case of objection or justified contestation, the contested
credentials shall be referred without debate to the appropriate
committee which shall report back to the Assembly, in accordance
with Rules 7 and 8 of the Rules of Procedure.
