1. The Assembly,
2. Having regard to the incessant increase in deaths and injuries due to road accidents in the member countries of the Council of Europe;
3. Believing that measures to combat this evil will be furthered if more effective publicity is given to such facts as the totals of deaths and injuries, given as European totals,
4. Instructs its Economic Committee, in consultation with the Secretary-General, to examine by what means the Council of Europe could take action in this sense and to report back with specific proposals as soon as possible.
