Terms of reference of committees and sub-committees concerning Northern Ireland (Doc. 3045) The Assembly, Having examined the procedural aspects of the motion for a resolution on Northern Ireland (Doc. 3035), 1. Instructs its Political Affairs Committee and its Legal Affairs Committee : (i) to appoint sub-committees on Northern Ireland, on the understanding that the two sub-committees shall meet jointly, in accordance with Rule 45 (3) ; (ii) to study any problems relating to the situation in Northern Ireland which may be referred to them by the above-mentioned sub-committees ; 2. Decides that should a report to the Assembly appear necessary, the Political Affairs Committee shall consider itself seized for a report and the Legal Affairs Committee for an opinion. |
