2. It instructs its Committee on Relations with European Non-Member Countries to continue reporting on the situation in Eastern Europe and to consider the practical forms of extending our co-operation with the new sovereign republics.
3. It instructs its Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights to consider concrete steps to be taken in support of the defence of civil rights in Eastern Europe, particularly in the field of minority rights.
