The Consultative Assembly,
Whereas at its third session the Committee of Ministers decided to instruct a Committee of Experts on Social Security to examine the problems arising out of the extension to all Member States of the Multilateral Convention on Social Security concluded on 7th November 1949 by the Powers signatory to the Brussels Pact,
Has noted with the greatest interest the Report of the Committee of Experts which met in Strasbourg from 15th to 17th June 1950, a Report which the Committee of Ministers approved and to which it drew the Assembly's attention ; at the same time, it requests that it may be associated more closely with the examination of this problem and kept informed of the results obtained,
Affirms once more that it is in complete agreement with the principles on which the project is based,
Calls upon Member States to pursue their efforts to extend the application of their systems of social security to nationals of all the Member States of the Council of Europe, following the example of what has been accomplished within the framework of the Brussels Treaty.
