The Assembly,
1. Having taken note of the 2nd progress report of the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (Doc. 2854) ;
2. Gratified by the way in which the Centre's activities are taking shape, and by the valuable contribution it is making to improving and developing the Mediterranean region ;
a again urge the governments of member States not parties to the Agreement of 21 May 1962 to associate themselves with the activities of the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies ;
b increase the number of scholarships with which the Centre is endowed by the Council of Europe, so as to match the expansion of its activities ;
c subsidise the Centre's new publication Mediterranean Options ;
d instruct the Secretary General to urge the Governing Body to ensure that the Advisory Board becomes operational forthwith.
