promote a culture of respect for human rights and the equality of women and men (for example, campaigning against domestic violence and other forms of violence against women, while ensuring equal participation of women and men in decision making and fighting discrimination against women).
organising exchange and training programmes in the area of human rights and gender sensitivity for Mexican prosecutors, members of the judicial police and forensic experts ;
offering legislative expertise in key areas, such as legislation on “feminicides” and domestic violence ;
helping to finance :a shelters for victims of domestic violence and the training of their staff ;b equipment for the new forensic laboratory to be established in Ciudad Juárez.
