The Bureau took note of the report drawn up by the Committee on the election of judges which has assessed the qualifications of the candidates to the posts of judges to the Court in respect of Albania and Hungary. The Committee recommended that the two lists be rejected. This position shall be endorsed by the Assembly (see Doc. 14150 Addendum II).
On the basis of a proposal by the SOC Group, the Bureau nominated Ms Sílvia Eloïsa Bonet (Andorra) and Ms Marit Maij (Netherlands), subject to ratification by the Assembly.
On the basis of a proposal by the UEL Group, the Bureau nominated Mr Georgios Psychogios (Greece) as an alternate, subject to ratification by the Assembly.
